5 Gum, Lasts Longer Than Life: the film

5 Gum  Lasts Longer Than Life

Producer · Spec campaign

$50 budget, 4 crew and 2 actors

Story

You can tell a civilization is great by what it buried its people with. That’s the idea behind our spec campaign for 5 Gum. We wanted a good mummy, so instead of buying one, we built our own. I got bandages off Amazon and a plastic skeleton, and we soaked the bandages in coffee to give them some depth. For the most part we used what we had, and it came out pretty solid.

I led the casting and pinned down the location. With Abby, our art director, I got the bandages and the skeleton and built the mummy. I built the end card too, and I dug the hole.

Michael directed and shot it. I helped pull the whole piece together, from the idea and how to polish it to the music, the cut and the angles.
